Our Heritage

Founded in 1952 by World War II veterans returning home, our VFW Post has been a cornerstone of veteran support in our community for over 70 years. What began as a small gathering of 12 members in a local community center has evolved into a thriving organization serving veterans from all conflicts and eras, while maintaining our core commitment to honor, service, and community.

Our History

1952
Founded by World War II veterans returning home, our post began as a small gathering of 12 members in a local community center.
1965
Opened our first permanent facility and began formal veteran advocacy programs, helping Korean War veterans access benefits.
1980
Expanded services to include Vietnam veterans, establishing our mental health support programs and peer counseling services.
2001
Launched modern outreach programs for Gulf War and post-9/11 veterans, embracing digital communication and online support.
2024
Renovated facilities and expanded programs to serve over 1,200 members across all service eras and conflicts.
