Who Can Join

Veterans of Foreign Wars

Veterans who served in a foreign war, conflict, or expedition that is recognized by the U.S. government and received a campaign medal for overseas service.
Current Service Members

Active duty, National Guard, and Reserve members currently serving in qualifying locations or operations that would make them eligible for a campaign medal.
Honorable Service Required

All applicants must have served honorably and possess proper documentation of their military service and qualifying campaigns or overseas service.

How to Apply

Joining is simple and straightforward. Follow these steps to become a member of our VFW family.

Collect your DD-214, campaign medals, and proof of honorable service for qualifying overseas duty.

Complete Application

Fill out our membership application online, by mail, or visit our post in person.

Review & Approval

Our membership committee reviews your application and verifies eligibility within 5 business days.

Welcome!

Receive your membership card and join our next meeting or event as a full member.

Important Eligibility Requirements

You must have received one of the following campaign medals or served in a qualifying area: Vietnam Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Kosovo Campaign Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, or other qualifying service as determined by the VFW National Organization. Documentation is required for membership approval.
